Freddie is 2 years old. He is an amazing little boy with an eye for adventure. He loves music, climbing and jumping, and hanging out with his big sisters, Clementine and Olive. Freddie was born with an extra chromosome, we like to say he’s “Rockin it”, or otherwise known as Trisomy 21 or Down syndrome.
Freddie was recently diagnosed on Jan 8, 2019, with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He started his “expedition” through treatment on Jan 11, 2019. He is currently in the hospital going through the “induction” phase of treatment.
Update: Freddie has been a warrior for the last 9 months. He’s been hospitalized off and on for over 120 days, since his ALL diagnosis. He’s has dealt with c diff and norovirus, and has had Rhino enterovirus multiple times due to being immunocompromised.
Freddie is now in Long Term Maintenance. He receives oral chemo daily at home and his phase is in 85 day cycles. He will remain on this repeating cycle for the next 2 years.
